You can visit an orthodontist at any age. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends initial visits around age seven, but orthodontic treatment is effective for all ages, including adults.

What Types of Braces are Available?

  • Ceramic braces
  • Traditional metal braces

How Long Will I Wear Braces?

Treatment time varies, ranging from 6 to 30 months, with most treatments averaging 18-22 months.

Do Braces Cause Discomfort?

Braces may cause mild discomfort initially but generally are not painful.

Can I Continue School Activities with Braces?

Yes, braces do not prevent participation in sports, music, or other school activities. A mouthguard is recommended for contact sports.
